The Photographer
The thing of most importance to me..my family. I define myself as a mom and wife, then a photographer. Up until now, my career consisted of being in front of the camera. I worked as an on-air reporter and anchor for WGAL for the past ten years. Once I had my first baby, I started scaling back and working different shifts to try to be home more. I ended up going part-time and launching a home photography studio. It took off quickly and after leaving my tv job, I decided to open a studio right outside Lititz. I now spend my days making animal sounds and silly faces at children, instead of reporting on breaking news. It's a great fit because I love being with kids and capturing their little faces and personalities. I also get the chance to be with my own children more. I consider it an honor to be able to photograph a brand new baby who is just days old, a one year getting their first taste of birthday cake or a high school senior setting off on a new chapter of their life.
I once read somewhere, you don't "take" a picture...you "borrow" a moment and save it forever. It's a gift. It's something to be treasured. It's a time that goes too quickly...but a picture brings us back to that very day, that very moment.
As a mother of four children--Carly 16 years old, Paige 14 years old, Holden 11.5 years old and Eloise 5 years old, I love the kind of pictures that capture my kids' unique little personalities. Keeping that in mind, I want your portrait sitting to be relaxed, so we can get candid, fun pictures of your child. I don't ever tell children to say cheese, instead I get them to laugh, dance and do the things that make them "them". The sessions are not rushed. I'll often take up as much time as needed to ensure you have a lot of pictures to choose from.
With young kids, who change very quickly, I understand parents want to have pictures taken frequently. I keep my prices affordable for that reason. My sitting fee covers the time and talent of the session, the proofing of all the images and the creation of your own online gallery to select your pictures. Once you order your pictures, they will all be edited for blemishes, scratches, stains, etc.. It is a custom experience from the start of your session to the final product. I am sure you will thrilled with your pictures and when you look back at your walls years from now, you'll say, "Remember when...."
